Yahtzee, Battle Ship, scrabble and murder? Game night takes an evening with friends to a whole new level as a group of competitive board gamers get thrown into a night filled with kidnapping, fight clubs, murder and drugs. Wow this really took a turn.

Game Night For those of you still trying to catch up, is a comedy. Don’t overthink it, a group of friends who meet every week for game night get thrown into a crazy situation that starts as a game, but quickly the game starts to mirror real life and they need to work together to save one of their own from some baddies.

This movie is funny, the characters are great, and the plot is interesting enough to build tension throughout the whole movie. I don’t know what more you could ask for from a comedy, Game Night delivers on almost every level and was a really fun watch.

Is this an instant classic that will sit with movies like Anchorman, Caddy Shack, and The Hangover? No, I saw it once and I don’t feel the need to watch it over again. It was fun, I enjoyed the movie, but you won’t think about it much after you leave the theater.
